Bass Player Marten Andersson (Lizzy Borden,
George Lynch, Starwood), a long time player and endorsee of ESP,
has unveiled photo's of his new 8 string ESP. "I have played ESP
Basses for most of my life," explain Marten Andersson. "Working
together with ESP, we have created a prototype of my first custom
bass based on my specs. This is a true unique 8 string bass that has
been refined in my head for a couple of years. I chose top
components, and the highest standards and craftsmanship that ESP
offers. This bass stays in tune throughout a full headlining set,
and it's one of the loudest powerful basses I have ever heard."
Available as a built to order and only available factory direct
through ESP (at the moment). The bass has pickups, hardware and is
designed based on Andersson's original specs, but can be outfitted
with either EMG or Seymour Duncan pickups, Schaller or
Dunlop Straplocks, and Black or Chrome hardware. Featuring a
standard 8 string ESP B Series neck, 34" scale with 24 frets, The
model incorporates a metallic red sparkle finish with star inlays as
fret markers. Fretboard/inlay: rosewood/stars and Gotoh Tuners.
