Bass Player
Marten Andersson (Lizzy Borden, George Lynch, Starwood), a
long time player and endorsee of ESP, has unveiled photo's of his
new 8 string ESP Bass. "I have played ESP's for most of my
life," explained Marten Andersson. "Working together with ESP, and
based on my ideas and specs we have created a prototype of my first
custom bass. This is a true, unique 8 string bass that has been
refined in my head for a couple of years. I chose top components and
the highest standards and craftsmanship that ESP offers. This bass
stays in tune throughout a full headlining set and it is one of the
loudest, most powerful basses I have ever heard."
Only available factory direct through ESP (at the moment) as a built
to order. This bass was designed on Andersson's original
specifications and comes with top of the line pickups and hardware,
but can be outfitted with either EMG or Seymour Duncan pickups,
Schaller or Dunlop Straplocks, and Black or Chrome hardware.
Featuring a standard 8 string ESP B Series neck (with different
headstock), 34" scale with 24 frets. The model incorporates a
metallic red sparkle finish with star inlays as fret markers.
Fretboard/inlay: rosewood/stars and Gotoh Tuners.
The new signature bass can be seen in the Lizzy Borden video ''Under
Your Skin" which premiered on MTV's Headbangers Ball last
weekend. The track comes off Lizzy Borden's CD "Appointment With
Death" out world-wide on Metal Blade Records. For more information and pictures -

Just got back from Michelle Meldrum’s
memorial.
As I am writing this I just came back from Michelle
Meldrum's memorial. It was a really nice fitting memorial but also a lot
of people deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing.
All I can say is never take your life for granted, keep up with your
health and go have physicals with your doctorevery year. Michelle had no
idea what she had coming and her death could POSSIBLY have been
prevented. I am just really happy I got to see her at the VQ party a
couple of weeks ago.
I first meet Michelle a long time ago. I was just a
young guy who had only been in Hollywood for a couple of weeks. She was
on top of her world, being signed to Geffen Records and touring all over
the world. Most people in that situation wouldn't take the time to even
look at you but she was such a great sweat considering soul that took
the time to give me advise on how to make it in the music industry and
what to watch out for.
We kept in touch over the years and later doing
the myspace thing. When I started to play with Lizzy Borden and George
Lynch she was always fast to point out it was all because of her and I
basically owed my career to her, then she would always bust out
laughing. I will miss that.
If you never have heard her music pick up some of the Phantom Blue or
Meldrum stuff. She was an extremely talented player with a bright
future, she brought great passion to her music (and to life in general).
Michelle you will always be in our hearts and you will be greatly
missed. Have a great journey, say hello to Alex and Ty up there will
you.
I also want to express my heartfelt condolences to her family and
friends. If you can please contribute to the memorial fund that has been
set up through Paypal. Your donations is going to her family and her son
3-year-old son Jake to help offset funural expenses and for his
education.

paypal.com)
See you in Sweden and Germany!

should be coming out shortly so look for it. Thanks to the
hardcore Lizzy fans who came out for our

fun. I hope you loved the new stuff live as well. I hope to see

Hello!
Alot of cool stuff has been
going as of late. I am
involvement
with Toontrack software
makers. They put out some great products which I am very happy
to be associated with.
Check em out if you have a chance, you will not be disappointed.
For example, Toontrack is the only
tool you'll need to produce pro sounding drum
tracks and not be sidetracked
trying to figure out how the software works, trust me, I have
been in that boat way to often.
The New Lizzy Borden CD will
be out in stores and on Itunes at the end of October and the
beginning of November (for exact release dates in various
territories and the cast of characters on the CD head over to
the news section). We shoot a video for
one of the new songs (tomorrow never comes) last weekend, we
were on set at this abandoned hospital in downtown L.A. for like
17 hours. The place is spooky, they use it for movie stuff these
days and is majorly haunted, it took a long time to shoot but it
was well worth it. It has stunts, among a ton of other cool
things. It was like filming a movie, all for 4 min and 11 min. I
am not giving away anymore, you have to check it out for
yourself when it comes out. We have started rehearsing for some
east coast shows coming up at the end of October (click
here for tour dates) and we have been
confirmed
to the "ATARFE VEGA ROCK
Festival"
in Spain as well as
"Bang Your Head" festival set
to take place June 27-28th, 2008 at
Messegelände in Balingen, Germany. There will
be more, check
back.
I hope life is
treating you good out there.
I'll see you
on tour!
